Chartered Physiotherapist and ACPAT Veterinary Physiotherapist
Alexandra Elizabeth Veterinary Physiotherapist is dedicated to providing high quality, evidence based Physiotherapy services for equine, canine and human clients. With over 5 years experience in the field, you and your animal will be in good hands! I currently cover Manchester and the surrounding areas.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT). These governing bodies ensure that I am trained to the highest standards, while being fully insured and continuing my professional development to keep up with the evidence base.
I studied at The University of Salford, qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2019. Since qualifying I have been working in the NHS, in a range of specialties including musculoskeletal outpatients, respiratory, medicine, surgery, intensive care and orthopaedics. I currently work part time as one of the Specialist Pain Physiotherapists in a Pain Service, which I am extremely passionate about. I am also completing my Masters year at Hartpury University, while running my private business and working at Dogwood Vet Referrals in Sale.
When I am not in work, there is still always an animal in sight! I have two horses, which is where my passion for Veterinary Physiotherapy started. My eldest horse, Dan, who is now happily retired, has had his fair share of injuries, and I truly embraced the rehabilitation journey. I also have a 2-year-old German Shepherd called Presley (you guessed it, his dad is called Elvis!!). Having a high energy, working dog has pushed me to learn as much as I can about canine behavior and training, which helps me make physiotherapy sessions much more enjoyable for your pet.
